HEPA Partner Office in Tashkent participated in Digital Uzbekistan in Budapest

On 27 July 2026, HEPA Partner Office Uzbekistan participated in the IT Park Uzbekistan Business Forum in Budapest. Representatives of government institutions, technology companies, investors, and business organizations also participated in the forum to discuss the development of Uzbekistan’s digital economy and opportunities for international cooperation.

The program included presentations on the current state of Uzbekistan’s ICT sector, the growth of the startup ecosystem, investment opportunities, digital transformation initiatives, and the regulatory environment supporting technological innovation. Discussions also addressed cybersecurity, the responsible application of artificial intelligence, and the increasing role of ethical hacking in identifying system vulnerabilities and strengthening information security.

In addition to the plenary sessions, the forum provided opportunities for networking with companies operating in various sectors. One of the most relevant meetings was held with representatives of GROWZ, a company developing practical technological solutions for agriculture. The discussions focused on improving access to modern farming technologies for small-scale and family-owned farms, where the adoption of advanced equipment remains limited. The company presented its approach to supporting agricultural producers through affordable and scalable technologies designed to increase productivity and resource efficiency. GROWZ expressed interest in solutions developed by Hungarian manufacturers, including agricultural drones for precision farming. This creates a potential pathway for introducing Hungarian agricultural technologies to the Uzbek market while supporting the modernization of local farming practices.
